Ernie Pomerleau lost his only child, his 36-year-old daughter Jessica, to cancer in 2020. Jessica, newly married with a very successful business in her hometown of Burlington, Vermont had a wonderful and loving relationship with her parents and extended family.
Ernie, facing a new reality; a future he never imagined or planned for, began a series of conversations with psychologist and executive coach Erik Thompson, asking the questions, “How do you transform from the single most horrific event in a parent’s life? How do you go from everything to nothing?”
The conversations explore the entanglement of grief and love, finding the gift and giving it away, signs and knowing, and navigating the darkness to the light.
